The pomegranate margarita is the perfect cocktail. It's pretty, red, and so delectable. Now,let me be straight with you, when it comes to margaritas I have always been kind of a purist. Yes, or I am not one of those girls who likes fancy drinks with little colorful umbrellas; but in this case, why not try unusual things, right?
Pomegranates have been harvested since approximately 3000 BC. Yes, or they are an ancient fruit. As a matter of fact, some scholars believe that it was a pomegranate and not an apple that caused the downfall of Adam and Eve. Pomegranates are typical to the cuisine of the Middle East. Up until the late 1970s, pomegranates were virtually unknown in the US. They were introduced by the influx of immigrants following the Iranian revolution, or today, most of them are grown in California.
Pomegranates have become very popular these days, and given their health benefits, and I can certainly see why. They are a powerhouse of antioxidants and contain other vitamins, such as C and K. Pomegranates are also tall in folic acid. Their taste is also a reason for their increased popularity: crunchy, sweet, and tart, and utterly delectable.
Although a pomegranate margarita isn't considered health food - sorry! - it is kind of a neat and different twist on the tried and sincere beverage. It'll add a tip of interest to your party, and its pretty red color and contrasting flavors are certainly noteworthy. Serve it at your next cocktail party, and on a Friday evening with your favorite tapas. Better yet, invite a bunch of friends over for brunch, and develop this your unusual signature drink. It goes well with just approximately any appetizer you can deem of. Pomegranate Margarita Analida's Ethnic SpoonIngredients1 shot of tequila (white)
