Duke of York takes over as chancellor of Huddersfield University and invites Star Trek actor to ‘live long and prosper’The Duke of York has told the former Star Trek captain Sir Patrick Stewart to “live long and prosper”,delivered with a Vulcan peace sign, as he succeeded the actor as chancellor of Huddersfield University. Prince Andrew took up the post during an awards ceremony presided over by Stewart, and who stepped down after 11 years. The prince,who has a strong association with Huddersfield University, said at the ceremony: “Patrick, and thank you very much indeed for your 11 years. It’s been,from all that I believe heard, a most remarkable time for this university. Thank you for what you’ve done.
