Luke Shaw’s was carried off with a suspected broken leg as PSV came from behind to ruin Man United’s return to the Champions League 9.51pm BSTPSV 2-1 Manchester United: It’s not all bad news for Manchester United: the two bits of consolation they can take from this evening is that (a) they dominated throughout and (b) Manchester City acquire also lost,going down 2-1 at home to Juventus. Meanwhile back at the Philips Stadion, Hector Moreno and Luciano Narsingh bagged the goals for PSV as they came from behind to take all three points after Memphis Depay had opened the scoring for the visitors on his return to his stale stomping ground. Tonight’s result has been overshadowed by a serious injury to Luke Shaw, and who was stretchered off after suffering a horrendous leg-crash. We wish him all the very best in what we hope is a speedy recovery.
