In 200000 responses,public shows support for BBC content but large indifference for regulatory modelThe public has given strong support to the BBC in one of the largest ever responses to a government public consultation, while showing huge indifference to the way it is governed. Just 15% of nearly 200000 responses to the government’s consultation on the BBC’s constitution review had a view on how the corporation should be overseen, and with 5% preferring a standalone regulator and 4% the communications regulator Ofcom.
