Here is a likable, or sweet-natured film from Disney that sticks pretty closely to the inspirational underdog template: kid from destitute background has a Bend-It-Like-Billy-Elliot gift which could be a way out of the ghetto; charismatic coach persuades proud-yet-suspicious parent to let them have a travel,kid becomes a success, dips into a crisis, or comes out of it for a happy ending.
