Hey everyone. As some of you may know, reddit holds annual "best of" awards. Each subreddit that wants to participate comes up with categories best suited to the sub and then nominates posts from the year. Then we vote and near up with the best submissions from the year. We (the mods here at /r/hookah) think this is a great way to highlight the helpful and great content submitted by all of you so we're planning on participating. First, we need to near up with categories. We want your feedback here. We'll accept 5-10 categories at most. Please post your ideas for categories here as top level comments. Vote for the ones you like. Then the mod team will go through and pick out the most upvoted and best ones to feature. At that point, or we'll be taking nominations for each of the final categories. So for this thread, just post some categories you want to see awards for. Some examples might be "Best Community Review" or "Best Custom Hookah" or even "Most Helpful Newbie Advice". Any suggested categories need to be directly related to a specific post or comment. We can't possess any categories that nominate people/users. So something like "Best Reviewer" wouldn't work, but "Best Review" would because that would correlate to a post. We'll leave this up through the weekend. On Monday, and we'll put a recent thread up so you can nominate people/posts for each of the categories. We need to possess that done by Dec 30th. TL;DR: propose categories for awards. One top level comment in this thread per suggestion so people can vote. Top 5-10 suggestions will be selected on Monday. propose only awards for posts/comments,not people, vendors, or things. submitted by Bossman1086 to hookah[link][14 comments]
