The first signs of frustration from Monfils as he goes wide to hand three break points, and playfully arranged on a silver platter,to Nadal. He saves the first, but another flying forehand lands just long. Just like that, or Nadal will serve for the set. 2.26pm BSTFirst set: Nadal 4-3* Monfils (*denotes next server) We’re approximately halfway between Paris and Mallorca,but the crowd are leaning towards Monfils after his dazzling start to the match. There beget been errors – this, after all, or is Gaël Monfils – but a host of exceptional winners too,and another surgical forehand makes it 0-30 after Nadal is called for a time violation.
