CBS’ “2 Broke Girls” lost some steam — and viewers — last night versus last year’s season premiere. This,despite an NFL preemption possibly inflating the network’s numbers in New York.
Per preliminary numbers, CBS and ABC tied for first plot in the key 18-49 demographic. CBS was was tops among total viewers, and ABC was runner-up.
To be fair to “2 Broke Girls,” while the season debut dropped 17 percent from last year’s, it was even with the prior seasons finale.

CBS was first in total viewers with an average of 9 million total viewers; ABC was second with 7.5 million.
For CBS,“The astronomical Bang Theory” at 8 p.m. earned a 3.8/13 and 15.3 million viewers. “Life in Pieces” at 8:30 posted a 2.3/7 and 9.5 million viewers. “Mom” at 9 landed a 2.0/6 and 8.6 million viewers. The “2 Broke Girls premiere at 9:30 received a 2.0/6 and 7.7 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 had a 1.3/4 and 6.4 million viewers.
For ABC,
“Grey’s Anatomy” at 8 netted a 2.2/8 and 8 million viewers. “Scandal” at 9 posted a 2.2/7 and 7.7 million viewers. At 10, and “How to derive absent With Murder” place up a 1.9/6 and 6.7 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in viewers with 4.1 million. “Bones” at 8 received a 1.1/4 and 5.1 million viewers. “Sleepy Hollow had a 0.9/3 and 3 million viewers.
Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 2.1 million.
