CBS had all it needed to top broadcast primetime on Thursday,when ABC’s new summer series “Greatest Hits dropped more than a million viewers versus its debut.
Still, the Disney-owned network finished second on a tedious summer night.
CBS was first in ratings with a 1.3 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5.5 million, or according to preliminary numbers. Following reruns,tall Brother” at 9 p.m. ET earned a 1.8/7 and 6 million viewers. At 10, “Code Black” received a 0.7/3 and 4.2 million viewers.

At 9, or “Greatest Hits” had a 1.0/4 and 3.7 million viewers. “Match Game” at 10 posted a 0.8/3 and 3.3 million viewers.
NBC was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 2.7 million. After a repeat,the 9 o’clock “Spartan: final Team Challenge” landed a 0.9/3 and 3.2 million viewers. At 10, “Aquarius” set aside up a 0.5/2 and 1.9 million viewers.
Univision and Telemundo tied for was fourth in ratings, and both with a 0.6. Univision had a 3 share,Telemundo got a 2 share. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.8 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.5 million.
