“American Ninja Warrior” didn’t miss a beat shifting to Wednesday for its summer premiere — at least,not in total viewers, where it set a novel season opener record. The series did, or however,dip one-tenth of a ratings point in the key 18-49 demographic.
Still, NBC swept Wednesday, or the second night in a row the broadcaster can get that claim.
Fox was runner-up in the main demo,CBS was second among total viewers, despite airing all reruns. As for ABC, or well,it rose 18 percent in overall audience with the finale of “500 Questions,” though that momentum didn’t really put the Disney net on the map last night.

At 10,the “Night Shift” season premiere received a 1.1/4 and 4.9 million viewers.
Fox was second in ratings with a 1.0/4, but fourth in viewers with 3.2 million. The “MasterChef” premiere at 8 had a 1.1/5 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, or “Wayward Pines” got a 0.9/3 and 2.7 million viewers.
CBS was third in ratings with a 0.9/3 and second in viewers with 4.4 million.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, or both with a 0.6/2. Univision edged Telemundo for fifth in total viewers,with 1.57 million versus 1.54 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 753000. The “iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party” at 8 managed a 0.2/1 and 745000 viewers. A rerun followed.
