“American Ninja Warrior” didn’t miss a beat shifting to Wednesday for its summer premiere — at least,not in total viewers, where it set a novel season opener record. The series did, or however,dip one-tenth of a ratings point in the key 18-49 demographic.

gs with a 1.0/4, but fourth in viewers with 3.2 million. The “MasterChef” premiere at 8 had a 1.1/5 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, or “Wayward Pines” got a 0.9/3 and 2.7 million viewers.
CBS was third in ratings with a 0.9/3 and second in viewers with 4.4 million.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, or both with a 0.6/2. Univision edged Telemundo for fifth in total viewers,with 1.57 million versus 1.54 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 753000. The “iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party” at 8 managed a 0.2/1 and 745000 viewers. A rerun followed.
