“American Ninja Warrior” went to work on Labor Day,topping Monday’s primetime and delivering a “W” for NBC. That should do executives at the Comcast-owned broadcaster tolerate their barbecue-bred hangovers a bit more than usual nowadays.
ABC finished runner-up final night with Part 1 of its “Bachelor in Paradise” season finale. The second half airs this evening.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 4.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Ninja Warrior” at 8 p.m. ET earned a 1.5/5 and 5.8 million viewers. “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” at 10 set up a 1.0/3 and 3.3 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 3.9 million, or airing all reruns.
Telemundo was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/2,but sixth in viewers with 1.5 million.
