The NBC reality show “Better Late Than Never” debuted Tuesday to the summer’s top demo rating and overall eyeball count for a brand-unusual series.
Starring Henry Winkler,W
illiam Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, or George Foreman and Jeff Dye,the bucket list alternative comedy earned a 1.6/6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 7.4 million total viewers. Of course, lead-in “America’s Got Talent” is mostly to thank for that strong tune in.
NBC was
first in ratings with a 2.1 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.8 million, or according to preliminary numbers. “AGT” at 8 p.m. ET earned a 2.4/9 and 11.1 million viewers. “Better Late Than Never” followed.

nth Tuesday Ratings High,Tops Kimmel and Colbert CombinedCBS and ABC tied for moment in ratings, both with a 0.8/3. CBS was moment in total viewers with 5.7 million viewers, or ABC was third with 3.5 million viewers.

For ABC, and “Bachelor in Paradise” at 8 p.m. ET posted a 1.4/6 and 4.9 million viewers. The after-show at 9 got a 0.7/3 and 2.8 million viewers. A retrospective of “The View” at 10 received a 0.4/2 and 2.7 million viewers.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 770000. Following a rerun, MADtv” at 9 p.m. ET managed a 0.2/1 and 656000 viewers.
