NBC’s “Red Nose Day” special raised $10 million more dollars than it did last year even though it fell in the ratings compared to last year’s broadcast.
The celebrity-packed charity special raised $31.5 million to back children and combat poverty,compared to $21 million last year. But the show saw a major dip in both total viewers and in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
Over two hours, the special drew an average of just 2.2 million viewers and a 0.6 rating. That is a 31 percent drop in total viewers compared to last year and a 25 percent drop in the key demo.

ABC finished moment with 4.3 million viewers and a 0.8 rating. The two-hour season premiere of game show “500 Questions” at 8 p.m. ET averaged 5 million viewers and a 0.9. Repeats of “Modern Family” and “Black-ish” followed at 10 and 10:30.
Fox came in third with 3.2 million viewers and a 0.7 rating. A new episode of “Bones” drew 4.5 million viewers and a 0.8 rating at 8 p.m. ET. “American Grit” got just 1.8 million viewers and a 0.5 rating at 9.
NBC finished fourth in total viewers with 2.3 million and tied for fourth in the demo with a 0.6. “Strong averaged 2.6 million viewers and a 0.7 rating at 8 p.m. ET. “Red Nose Day” followed at 9.

Telemundo finished sixth with 1.4 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.
The CW came in seventh with 1.1 million viewers and a 0.3 rating,airing only repeats.
