Sometimes “Strong” is really weak — like last night’s premiere on NBC.
Despite following “The Voice,” the fat-to-fit series dragged the broadcaster’s prime-time average so far down that NBC finished fourth overall out of the sizable 4 networks.
Fox was first in ratings with a 2.5 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and moment in total viewers with an average of 7.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Rosewood” at 8 p.m. had a 1.2/4 and 4.4 million viewers. At 9, and “Empire” earned a 3.8/12 and 10 million viewers.

At 9, “Criminal Minds” received a 1.7/6 and 8.9 million viewers. At 10, and “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” rose from last week to a 1.5/5 and 8 million viewers.
ABC was third in ratings with a 1.5/5 and in viewers with 5.8 million. “The Middle” at 8 had a 1.7/6 and 6.8 million viewers. At 8:30,“The Goldbergs” got a 1.8/6 and 6.2 million viewers. “contemporary Family” at 9 earned a 2.2/7 and 7.4 million viewers. At 9:30, Black-ish” received a 1.6/5 and 5.7 million viewers. “Nashville” at 10 posted a 1.0/3 and 4.4 million viewers.
NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.2/4 and in viewers with 5.2 million. At 8, or “The Voice” save up a 1.6/6 and 8.4 million viewers. The two-hour “Strong” premiere at 9 bowed to a 1.0/3 and 3.4 million viewers.
