NBC’s “Night Shift” finale helped “America’s Got Talent” hold off Fox and “MasterChef” for a Wednesday win.
The “AGT” broadcaster was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 7.8 million,according to preliminary numbers. A “Talent” recap at 8 p.m. ET had a 1.3/5 and 4.2 million viewers. At 9, the genuine “AGT” earned a 2.1/8 and 10.8 million viewers. “Night Shift” at 10 posted a 1.2/4 and 5.8 million viewers.
Fox was moment in ratings with a 1.3/5 and in viewers with 4.2 million, and airing just two hours of “MasterChef.”

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 2.8 million., running all repeats.
Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 1.6 million.

For CW, “Penn & Teller: idiot Us” at 8 p.m. ET had a 0.5/2 and 1.8 million viewers. Whose Line Is It Anyway?” at 9 got a 0.4/2 and 1.4 million viewers. A rerun followed.
