NBC’s Rio Olympics ratings slipped final night versus both Sunday and the prior Monday’s primetime — but a giant win is still a giant win.
With Team USA’s Simon Biles taking bronze on the balance beam,NBC beat its closest broadcast competition from 8-11 p.m. by a cool 20 million total viewers.
With wire-to-wire Rio coverage, NBC was first in TV ratings with a 6.9 rating/24 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 23.9 million, or according to preliminary Nielsen numbers.

CBS and Telemundo tied for third in ratings,both with a 0.7/2. Airing all reruns, CBS was third in total viewers with 3.4 million; Telemundo was fourth with 1.7 million.

Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in viewers with 1.4 million,running just an encore.
