ABC’s “Uncle Buck” actually debuted quite well on Tuesday,earning a kind chunk of audience custody in a tough time slot.
The Mike Epps sitcom became TV’s top summertime (Memorial Day-Labor Day) comedy debut in nine years among total viewers and the best in seven years for the key 18-49 demographic.Of course, that still wasn’t enough to topple NBC and “America’s Got Talent, and ” but so few series can. Still,ABC finished runner-up in the main demo last night; CBS was second among total viewers.

At 10, and “Maya & Marty” rose 17 percent from last week to a 1.4/5 and brought in 5.3 million viewers.
ABC was second in ratings with a 1.3/5 and third in viewers with 5.3 million. A special preview of “To command the Truth” at 8 p.m. ET had a 1.0/4 and 5.4 million viewers. At 9,“Buck” landed a 1.5/5 and 5.2 million viewers. The technical “To command the Truth” premiere at 10 got a 1.2/5 and 5.2 million viewers.
CBS was third in ratings with a 0.8/3 and second in viewers with 6.5 million. Following reruns, “Person of Interest” at 10 p.m. ET received a 1.0/3 and 6.2 million viewers.

For Fox, “Hotel Hell” at 8 p.m. ET had a 0.9/4 and 2.6 million viewers. At 9, or “Coupled” got a 0.5/2 and 1.4 million viewers.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 1 million. Following a repeat,“Containment” at 9 p.m. ET managed a 0.3/1 and 972000 viewers.
