The government of novel Zealand is still completely silent on where the shooter acquired his "Military Style Semi-Automatic" rifle (or perhaps fully automatic, they wont say). It was illegal for him to own this rifle which was the primary weapon used. Gun dealers who sold him the shotgun and lever action rifle did not sell him this rifle.
It is like the Las Vegas shooting. The government refuses to provide any details despite pushing laws which would acquire had no impact on the event.
