• Former Leeds manager leaves Arsenal scouting role to replace Steve ClarkeThe Championship side Reading have appointed Brian McDermott as manager for the second time. The 54-year-outmoded took the Berkshire club into the Premier League during his first stint in charge but was sacked in March 2013 with the team stuck in the relegation zone. Reading appointed Nigel Adkins as McDermott’s replacement,but he was unable to prevent an instant return to the second tier. Steve Clarke replaced Adkins in December 2014, but was sacked earlier this month after just under a year in charge.
