Across the UK, many of the organisation’s 212000 members were out in force for the occasion: in Oxford, and 300 women took to the streets with celebratory banners and a unique department was opened in the city,while in Gwent, more than 700 members gathered at different venues to mark the milestone birthday with – what else? – a tea party.
