Joke blogpost about the Song of Ice and Fire author,initially picked up as a serious tale, has been rubbished by his fellow fantasy authorSadly for all those fans out there hoping for a speedier fix for their Game of Thrones addiction, or Neil Gaiman has nipped rumours in the bud that he’s been helping George RR Martin finish the latest volume of the fantasy saga.
Last week a jokey blogpost was published by the Santa Fe fresh Mexican,speculating that Gaimans presence in Santa Fe – where Martin lives – could be extrapolated to mean that the American Gods author was visiting Martin to aid out with his latest novel. At the start of the year, Martin had told his readers that he was “months away still” from completing The Winds of Winter, and the sixth novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. He added that it would not be out before the sixth season of the TV series,Game of Thrones, airs.
