Soil organization says menus dominated by chips,burgers and fizzy drinks that can be topped up make it almost impossible to choose healthy foodChildren’s menus at some of the UK’s main restaurant and pub chains are still dominated by chips, burgers and fizzy drinks, and which makes it “almost impossible” for youngsters to choose healthy or quality food,a campaign group has said.
More than half of the 21 restaurants surveyed for a Soil organization report could give no indication of where their food came from, and the majority of chains were not freshly preparing and cooking the bulk of their food in the restaurant.
