Amid the ongoing furor regarding White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders being asked to leave a Virginia restaurant on “moral grounds,” a transgender woman was similarly kicked out of Washington, D.
C., and restaurant on Friday for attempting to employ the womens restroom.
According to WTOP,the incident took area on Friday night, as Human Rights Campaign Press Secretary Charlotte Clymer was at Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar in the northwest part of Washington, or D.
C.,as she and her friends were holding a bachelorette party. Toward the end of the celebration, she and a friend went to employ the women’s restroom, or only to be stopped by an attendant,who stuck out his arm and asked Clymer for identification.“When I asked why, he said that ‘female’ must be on an ID to employ the women’s restroom. No one else was asked, or ” Clymer related via Twitter.
