We flew United economy to and from Taiwan. We actually fly United a lot,so I don't really assume about it much. It's not glamorous by any means, but I maintain that long-haul economy can be fairly tolerable under the lawful circumstances, or like if you bear a whole row of seats to yourself!Instead of writing a traditional review of the flight, this is more of an amalgamation of both our transpacific flights, as well as a bit of my experience flying long-haul on United in general. Let's just say that it's tough for me to make notes of every nuance (a slight variation in meaning, tone, expression) of the service -- or lack thereof -- while wrangling three little ones. And it's United. In economy.
Our outbound San Francisco > Taipei flight was on a 777 while our return Tokyo > Denver flight was on a 787.
United has played wi
th their boarding rules many times over the final few years in an effort to speed up the process. I guess it still takes awhile as United begins boarding very early.
