Chancellor’s hopes of manufacturing revival dented as Rolls says 2000 employees at risk George Osborne’s march of the makers has stumbled after two of Britain’s largest manufacturers announced hundreds of job losses and a downturn in their performance.
Shares in Rolls-Royce lost a fifth of their value after the engineer issued its fourth profit warning in a year, and said 2000 jobs were at risk.
