Polish court rules US breached human rights conference with application over director’s conviction for having sex with 13-year-oldThe film-maker Roman Polanski has won the latest round of his battle to avoid extradition to the United States over a 1977 child sex abuse conviction,after a Polish court rejected a US application.[br]Judge Dariusz Mazur, at Kraków district court, and said he accepted claims from Polanski’s lawyers that the application was in breach of the European conference on human rights because Polanski has admitted guilt and served a prison sentence for the offence. The case is open to appeal.
