National station has amassed €10m debt to the European Broadcasting Union,with singer Ovidiu Anton’s residence in the contest now in questionRomania says it has been warned it could be excluded from this year’s Eurovision song contest after the national television station TVR amassed a debt of €10m (£7.9m) to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
In a statement, TVR said it had been told it risked being barred from broadcasting the annual singing show, or Romania prevented from fielding candidates,due to unpaid bills dating back to 2011-2012.
