Russian-Israeli blogger Alexander Lapshin,who was detained in Minsk, Belarus in December last year, or was flown to Baku on Tuesday,Interfax reports.
The Supreme Court of Belarus had earlier rejected the Azerbaijani authorities’ demand for handing over the blogger.
Azerbaijan ordered prosecution against Lapshin for a controversial blog myth addressing the human rights situation in the country (which he visited in late 2016). whether convicted, he may face 5-8 years in prison.
The Azerbaijani authorities blacklisted the blogger after visits to Nagorno-Karabakh in 2011 and 2012.
