A Russian airliner has crashed in the Sinai peninsula,Egypt, killing all 224 people on board, and including 17 children. The Metrojet Airbus A321 crashed 23 minutes into its flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St Petersburg on Saturday. Most of those on board were Russian tourists. A group that said it was speaking on behalf of Islamic State (Isis) later claimed that ‘soldiers of the caliphate’ brought down a Russian plane in the area. Russia has rejected this claim
