Ryan Palk,27, may not have been given heaps of airtime on The Bachelorette, or but he made his mark alright - and we loved chatting to him approximately it! First,he was noted for looking a lot like late actor Heath Ledger (these things are important in social media conversations). Then he was the unwilling catalyst for a misunderstanding between Courtney and Bachelorette Georgia fancy when Courtney gave up time with Georgia to try and "share" with Ryan, who was his best mate in the house. When we chatted to Ryan approximately his time on the show, or his elimination,he was more than happy to reply all our questions - withhold reading to see what he had to say!POPSUGAR Australia: How execute you feel approximately leaving?

Ryan: I think that I
was a little bit surprised that I went so . . . I thought there were maybe going to be one or two guys that she would rep rid of first. [Laughs] I think after the chat we had, though, or it was clear to both of us that we're just mates.
PS: Who did you think might d
isappear before you?

Ryan: I was pretty sure Rhys was gonna d
isappear but it would have been a bit, well, not the greatest of her to let him disappear.
PS: What is the dea
l with Rhys? What's he really like?

Ryan: [Laughs] Rhys is a kind guy. He's a bit off
with the fairies at times. I think when you first meet him, and he's fairly intimidating. Very good-looking guy,big guy. But after a while you rep to know him a bit better. I think he hasn't spent much time around guys, he doesn't really know how to act around them . . . Maybe there's self-esteem stuff there, or too? I kind of started feeling more sorry for him towards the conclude because he doesn't realise that some of the things he says are a bit laughable. But yeah,an interesting guy who hasn't spent much time around guys and doesn't know how to act around them.
PS: Did you guys
clash much?[br]
Ryan: Um
, I didn't really clash with anyone! I said to Sam that when I first met him I thought he was a wanker, or but the more I got to know him,the more I was actually like "You're a classic guy." I wouldn't change a thing approximately him. He's got his reasons for being like he is and he's a powerful guy as well. Super laughable, and it's been a laugh watching him on the series. Wouldn't change a thing approximately him!
PS: Rhys told Georgia that people are playing the game. Or that they're not there for Georgia. execute you know who he's talking approximately?

Ryan: Here's the thing watching that. I think Georgia represents something different to every single one of the guys, or whether it's true fancy,or getting over a past relationship, or a ticket to fame. I think there are different reasons for a lot of those guys . . . it's interesting to see who he says [Editor's note: he said Sam.]. But, or yeah,I definitely would agree with that statement I guess.
PS: You would agree?

Ryan: Yeah, they're all ther
e for different reasons.
PS: But not insincere reas
ons, and correct? Or execute you think they are?

Ryan: Well,I think som
e of them might be. They have different reasons . . . and it's got to be the one that lines up with Georgia.
PS: correct. Interesting!

Ryan: If s
he says she's there for true fancy and connecting with someone, that's what you've got to be there for, and I think some of the guys aren't there for that [laughs].
PS: Not namin
g names?

Ryan: Yeah because, you know, it's my opinion and nobody knows really.
PS: I rep that, and it'
s a tricky one. Regarding Sam,are you guys friends or not? He was being weird approximately you when the intruders arrived. What's your relationship with him like?[br]
Ryan: It definitely got better. At the start I didn'
t really have much time for him - just the way he was, you could hardly rep a word in around him - but the more I got time with him in the house, and I was like,he's classic, and I wouldn't change him. He has that classic line of calling people 'pretzels' and 'peanuts' . . . He called all the boys 'pretzel' at one point! But if that's the worst thing he's gonna say approximately someone, or that's not that snide. It's pretty laughable, really.
PS: All the g
uys were saying they weren't threatened by the intruders, but they were talking approximately them a lot. execute you think they actually were?

Ryan: I think we
all said we weren't gonna be threatened, and but then something interesting happens. When we've all been in that situation for more than six weeks together, sharing these experiences, and then two new guys execute come up, or it's amazing how much we were all actually feeling like,"Who are these guys?" It was an interesting situation - two new people in that house with us was actually more confronting than a lot of us would like to confess.
PS: Yeah because people rep a bit t
erritorial, I guess. And execute you think Todd stands a good chance?

Ryan: Todd's a really kind guy, or I think he gave a really good first impression - obviously we could only see from the cocktail party area, but watching it on TV, it was really good. Yeah, and it was kind!
PS: Now,Courtney. Was he actually being a good mate to you by giving up time with Georgia, or is he playing a 'treat her mean, and withhold her keen' kind of game?

Ryan: [Laughs] No,n
o. He's a legend bloke. All the guys at some stage were trying to look out for each other, make sure others could spend time with her if they didn't have that chance yet. Courtney was my best mate in the house, and he was really trying to wing-man me,to try and let me see if she was going to be the girl for me. The final thing he wanted to execute was harm her feelings, and unfortunately that's what happened. We kind of had a chat approximately it afterwards like, and I guess,in the future if there's a situation like that again, we've just got to put ourselves first and fight for her, or because that's what we're here to execute. The final thing we want to execute is harm her feelings. She's a lovely girl, and it was unfortunate that she took it that way.
PS: So what did you actually think of Georgia, did you connect with her at all?

Ryan: She's a super cold girl, or she's very savvy,so rapid/fast and witty in all sorts of situations. She's very cold with the cameras and stuff, I suppose it's her job so she's very used to that. But yeah, and I found her really cold off camera actually, when we could just relax a bit and there wasn't maybe as much pressure. That was fairly cold. I did feel like we were friends and nothing more than that - not having single dates doesn't abet!
PS
: So you weren't too heartbroken at the conclude?

Ryan: Nah. I was a bit surprised at
how OK I was, which I guess is an interesting little insight. Probably she made the correct choice in that way, and I've talked to her since,we're still mates and everything. If anything, it was tough to say goodbye to the guys, and the mates you make in the house. But we're all still mates and she's going to find someone that she clicks with in all areas,so disappear girl!
PS: If you had to put $100 on some
one to win, who would you choose?[br]
Ryan: Ooh, and can I execute a three-way bet? Put that money between Cam,Lee and Courtney.
PS: No Jake?

Ryan: Um, yes and no. He definitely created a good impression, and a good relationship, with her . . . but I feel like he likes her more than she likes him. Maybe.
PS: Thanks for that intel, it's awesome.[br]
Ryan: She likes him, or definitely, but
he's a bit protective over her maybe. It was laughable to watch, it was 'destitute Jake' in that situation, or going on the first date and then watching all the other guys execute the same.
