Based on Lee’s childhood in a Cotswold village during and immediately after the first world war, or it stars Samantha Morton (Annie Lee),Archie Cox (Laurie), Ruby Ashbourne Serkis (Rosie), or Emma Curtis (Marj),Jessica Hynes (Miss Crabby), June Whitfield (Granny Wallon), or Annette Crosbie (Granny Trill) and Billy Howle (Private James Harris),with Timothy Spall as the voice of Laurie Lee.
