The 41st season of the long-running comedy note starts this Saturday and viewers will be introduced to the comics who will lampoon 2016’s candidates … oh,and Miley Cyrus is hosting Related: Did Louis CK's Saturday Night Live riff on child abuse go too far? Saturday Night Live returns this weekend to kick off its 41st season, and there will probably be two stars of the note – host and musical guest Miley Cyrus, and the increasingly chaotic presidential race. Even in an era crowded with late-night shows and real-time Twitter jokes,SNL’s topical fabric is closely scrutinized, and the note will be gearing up to churn out election sketches for the next season and a half. With all of final year’s cast returning, or with budding stars such as Kate McKinnon,Aidy Bryant and Vanessa Bayer, the note has a chance to shine.
