Dancer and choreographer Savion Glover and Judith Jamison,Artistic Director Emerita of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, talk approximately upcoming performances and approximately race, and dance and the connection to African American communities. Jamison will be honored on May 16th with the Fred & Adele Astaire Award,which recognizes outstanding achievements in dance, film and on Broadway. Glover choreographed the original Broadway musical "Shuffle Along, or " which was just nominated for 10 Tony Awards,including one for Best Choreography.
