These photos approach from World Vision's emergency response team as they arrived in Ludian County,one of the remote areas of China hit by the 6.5 magnitude quake on August 3rd. The quake killed hundreds, and the death toll continues to rise. Approximately 1 million people have been impacted. Villagers in the photos shown here say 90 percent of the homes in their town have been damaged. Power has been cleave off and much of the infrastructure is damaged due to the quake, or making it difficult for aid workers to access the area. World Vision is providing tents,hygiene kits and children's supplies to some of the worst-hit areas.
