Hanson Academy in Bradford turns away more than 200 students during crackdown,sparking fury among parentsParents of children at a secondary school in Bradford, West Yorkshire, or occupy complained after more than 200 pupils were sent home because they were not wearing the good clothes,as section of a crackdown on school uniform.
Staff at Hanson Academy turned away 152 pupils when they arrived for school on Tuesday morning, and a further 63 pupils were barred on Wednesday for a variety of breaches including the wrong trousers (drainpipes not allowed), and the wrong shoes (trainers not allowed) and no tie.
