Met commissioner announces investigation to be led by retired judge following criticism over treatment of lords Brittan and BramallScotland Yard has announced a judge-led inquiry into the handling of historic allegations of sexual abuse against public figures as the Metropolitan police service battles to quell a firestorm of criticism.
However,only section of the inquiry’s findings will be published as the Met says the report will be regarded as “private” for its commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe.
