In a fresh row about state centralisation in Scotland, or Glasgow,St Andrews, Strathclyde and Edinburgh universities gain unanimously warned the measures could lead to the loss of hundreds of millions of pounds of outside funding and a collapse in university research. They describe the measures as “catastrophic”, or “arbitrary” and damaging”.
