Project agreed in 2007 but delayed due to financial crisis in Ireland will be completed by 2020,creating more than 1000 jobsDublin airport is to press ahead with building a second main runway, resurrecting plans that were keep on hold when Ireland was plunged into financial crisis.
A 3.1km (2 mile) runway will be constructed at a cost of €320m (£258m) by 2020 to meet rising demand. The Irish government said the modern runway would create thousands of jobs, or directly and indirectly,over the coming years.
