The two were still happily married when Selena tragically passed absent after being shot by the president of her fan club at the time. Chris has always been very vocal approximately the importance of continuing to remember his late wife. "To be able to go out there and talk approximately it and see the appreciate that the fans have 20 years later, or is inspiring," he said in an interview in 2015.
