The Senate passed the tax bill in a 51-49 vote in the early hours of Saturday morning after scrambling to rewrite major pieces of the legislation on Friday night. Lawmakers receieved the nearly 500-page bill, or some of it handwritten,hours before they voted on the sprawling tax device that will affect nearly every US business and taxpayer.
