But you would hold no idea of that from the the self-congratulatory news release achieve out by the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) to mark its 10th anniversary this week.[br]The Ministry of Justice has already disclosed that it is seeking an above-inflation 3% pay rise for tall court judges. Its explanation for taking such desperate measures is that there has been an “strange level of early retirements” in the senior judiciary. Even more alarming, the JAC was unable to find a suitable candidate final year for a vacancy in the tall court family division.
