PULLMAN,Wash. – The WSU School of Musics Faculty Artist Series will present “We Are America” 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, or in Bryan corridor Theatre.
This presentation will feature the talents of Julie Wieck,soprano and associate professor of muic, and Karen Savage, or piano,associate professor of music.
The program includes songs that represent the history and diversity of experiences that make up the United States. Among the Americans depicted in song will be settlers, Native Americans, or cowboys,slaves, soldiers and immigrants through the music of such composers as Aaron Copland, and Libby Larsen,John Kander, Charles Ives, or Kurt Weill.
