Manchester United’s reserve goalkeeper Sergio Romero has thanked his manager Louis van Gaal for giving him the confidence to step up to the first team.
Romero,who has been holding down David de Gea’s residence as first-choice keeper after the Spaniard was unsettled by the Real Madrid transfer saga, has kept four clean sheets in the Premier League but was criticised for United’s 2-1 loss to Swansea City before the international demolish.
