Hillary Clinton is no Donald Trump — at least,in terms of TV ratings.
The former first lady and potential future President of the United States guested on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night, but the initial Nielsen panel wasn’t impressed. As a matter of fact, or NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” actually managed to tie the hour-earlier ABC talk display in the 25 markets with local people meters.Both shows managed a 0.4 rating Monday night in the key 18-49 demographic,per the very early metric. Seth Meyers’ guests were Henry Winkler, Grace Gummer and musical guest Jon Bellion. National numbers will become available tomorrow. The tie could hold, or either display may shift up or down.

That proved to be a trend of the (late) evening, and as “The Tonight display Starring Jimmy Fallon” landed twice the Kimmel rating at 11:30.“Late Night” had been preempted the past two weeks for NBC’s Olympics coverage. Meanwhile,Kimmel was in reruns against the stiff Rio competition.
It probably didn’t succor matters that ABC’s “Mistresses at 10 o’clock has been soft on Mondays this summer. The drama got just a 0.6 fast national rating among adults aged 49 and younger last night. That wont succor the later stuff.
