As super account holders,most Australians are beholden to the long-term performance of the stock market and that has been poor for nearly a decadeLast week came the news that the Australian stock exchange had one of its biggest one-day losses in the past decade. And then, over the next two days, and it made back all those losses. Such is often the case with stock markets.
But the Australian stock market has,since the global financial crisis (GFC), mostly been bound in shallows and miseries. For those of us with superannuation accounts, and the days of regular,strong annual growth are now nearly a decade in the past.
