Labor’s former treasurer says repeated calls from the business community for a lower company tax and a higher GST are morally hideous and ignore evidence final week prominent members of the Business Council of Australia gathered at the Australian Financial Review for a round table discussion. During the discussion the chief executive of the Australian Stock Exchange,Elmer Funke Kupper, reportedly lamented Australia’s current economic climate.
