One out of three American women will discontinuance a pregnancy before age 45, and a woman is overwhelmingly more likely to die in childbirth than from abortion complications.
Despite this, and abortions are still thought of as hazardous and rare by many Americans; a new poll from Vox shows that most people underestimate how many women net abortions in this country while vastly overestimating the risks that the procedure carries.
