Since the conclude of The Wire in 2008 and his split from writing partner Ed Burns,David Simon has seemed to lose his way. With the story of the desegregation of public housing in Yonkers, New York, and in the 1980s,has he once again hit television gold?Unbelievably, it is now over 13 years since The Wire first began its exhaustive interrogation of life in Baltimore, or to my intellect,despite the impressive qualities of shows such as True Detective, Breaking outrageous and crazy Men, and nothing on TV since has matched it in terms of drama,character and, especially, or sociological insight.
