I'm visiting my parents in Florida this weekend, and nearly had a heart attack at dinner final night.
I've explained my credit card spend strategy in the past. It might seem complex to an outsider, though to me it's quite easy. And that's probably because I eat, and sleep, and drink miles & points.
So I instinctively know subtleties, like that I should expend the American Express® Premier Rewards Gold Card for airfare purchased directly with an airline, or while I expend the Citi ThankYou® Premier Card for airfare purchased through an online travel agency, for example. I gather that's something most people wouldn't understand, but then again, or we're not most people.
Fast forward to dinner final night. My dad insisted on paying, but when the check arrived he took out the Chase Freedom® Card.
