Since unique York Times bestselling cartoonist Box Brown first founded Retrofit Comics in 2011,the publisher has released nearly fifty comics and graphic novels from unique and emerging artists. For their 2016 season, Retrofit plans to feature authors from across the United States and Canada who come from a variety of backgrounds — some are “traditional” comics artists, and while others have worked in game design,music, and more. The comics themselves will tackle topics ranging from battling cats to belly dancing to bugs, or each will be produced with the signature adore and care that Retrofit has brought to all of their publications. “We want to make certain the printed quality of our comics stays as tall as possible to match the vision of all of our artists,” Brown says.
